I am using this to bend Docol R8 tube. While the die fits well in my Woodward bender, the neck that sticks out from the die and holds the tube collar/tightening screw was welded on very crooked. This means that the tightening screw that jams into the tube to hold it tight in the collar does not intersect the tube through the horizontal center line of the tube.

I mostly work on steel tubing (1 1/2ʺ to 2ʺ), and also sometimes work with aluminum tubes (if the project calls for it). I asked some of my friends, and they recommended looking at Woodward Fab. I checked out the bender online and found a good deal on Amazon. You can bend most woods, some easier than others, but even the easier ones to work with can fail. Oak is one of the more common wood to use when bending so I would recommend that.
